Zeiss is a modern and innovative company known for quality, precision, and sustainability. As a Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will ensure proper accounting for Carl Zeiss AG and Carl Zeiss Vision AG.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper accounting and reporting for asset management, including investment planning and periodic inventories.
• Collaborate in the general ledger tasks (accruals, provisions, account reconciliations, recurring entries) and manage leasing contracts according to IFRS 16.
• Manage the banking and treasury area (accounts, authorizations, payment processes, liquidity monitoring).
• Oversee travel expense management, system maintenance, trainings, process monitoring, and policy updates.
• Coordinate tax and regulatory reports and collaborate with external partners.
• Support month-end and year-end closes, including reconciliations and analyses with auditors.
• Act as a liaison with Shared Service Centers in accounts receivable and payable including monitoring payment and dunning processes.
• Actively engage in projects and drive the continuous improvement and optimization of our financial processes.
• Serve as SAP Coordinator in the FI area (authorizations, testing, process assurance).
• Ensure support within the Finance team and assistance in the region (CH/AT/SEE).

Requirements

• Completed training, ideally complemented by advanced education in finance or at least five years of professional experience in finance and accounting (OR and IFRS).
• Ability to quickly orient in a complex environment and organize efficiently.
• High IT affinity, strong skills in Excel, and good knowledge of SAP, ideally SAP HANA.
• Organizational talent with a flair for numbers.
• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken; knowledge of Austrian dialect is a plus.
