Finance & Accounting Specialist (Allrounder) (m/f/x) 80%

As Finance & Accounting Specialist (m/f/x) 80%:

• Ensure proper accounting for Carl Zeiss AG and Carl Zeiss Vision AG.
• Responsible for asset accounting, including asset reporting, investment planning, and periodic inventories.
• Engage in the general ledger (accruals, provisions, account reconciliations, recurring bookings) and management of leasing contracts under IFRS 16.
• Oversee the bank and treasury area (accounts, authorizations, payment processes, liquidity monitoring).
• Manage travel expense systems, training, process oversight, and policy maintenance.
• Coordinate tax and authority reporting and collaborate with external partners.
• Participate in monthly and annual financial statements, including reconciliations, analyses, and collaboration with auditors.
• Act as the interface to shared service centers in accounts receivable and payable, including monitoring payment and reminder processes.
• Actively contribute to projects and drive continuous improvement of our financial processes.
• Serve as SAP coordinator in the area of FI (permissions, testing, process assurance).
• Ensure backup within the finance team and support in the region (CH/AT/SEE).

Requirements

• You have a relevant qualification, ideally complemented by further training in finance or at least five years of professional experience in finance and accounting (OR and IFRS).
• You possess the ability to quickly orient yourself in a complex environment and organize efficiently.
• You have a strong IT affinity, strong Excel skills, and good knowledge of SAP, ideally SAP HANA.
• You are an organizational talent with a flair for numbers.
• You are proficient in German and English, with knowledge of other languages being an advantage.
• You convince with analytical strengths and a consistently implementation-oriented approach.
• You possess a digital mindset and affinity for modern tools and processes.
• You work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner.
