Head of Finance 80-100%

The finance department of our compensation and pension fund comprises two teams with around 30 employees in the areas of finance and collection. Together, they ensure the financial stability of our compensation and pension fund and compliance with legal and standard accounting requirements.

We are looking for an experienced leader for the strategic and operational management of the department as well as controlling, who actively supports the teams and acts as a sparring partner for management in financial matters.

Your Responsibilities

• Technical and personnel leadership of the finance department, including support and development of the two team leaders and their approximately 30 employees.
• Ensuring correct, legal and standard-compliant accounting of the pension and compensation fund (according to Swiss GAAP FER 26 and WBG).
• Overall responsibility for budgeting, interim forecasts, and initiating suitable control and corrective measures.
• Participation at management level in strategic issues and actively shaping organizational and financial development.
• Responsibility for annual financial statements, reports, analyses, and presentations to internal and external bodies.
• Steering significant financial and corporate risks in collaboration with the auditing body and insurance companies.
• Participation in meetings and events of the founding association and representation to relevant external stakeholders.

Your Profile

• University degree with a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, or comparable professional experience; further education in the pension sector is advantageous.
• Several years of leadership and management experience, ideally in the financial sector of a pension or compensation fund.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with operational implementation competence.
• Clear, participatory, and appreciative leadership style and natural assertiveness.
• High professional, social, and decision-making competence as well as proactive action.
• Very good communication skills in German; knowledge of French and Italian is an advantage.
