Kistler is a global leader in dynamic measurement technology for capturing pressure, force, torque, and acceleration.

In this role, you will be part of the Group Controlling Team and responsible for the financial steering and transparency of the areas Technology (TEC) and Business Units (BU). You will work closely with various departments and executives, supporting strategic decision-making with solid analyses, forecasts and reports.

Your Typical Day

  • Act as Finance Business Partner for TEC and BU management as well as Executive Committee members, actively supporting them as a sparring partner in strategic, financial and structural decisions.
  • Constructively challenge TEC and BU units, represent the overall financial view of the Group, and ensure that decisions are made sustainably, economically, and in line with strategy.
  • Prepare cost, performance, and KPI developments for decision-making, regularly present these in Executive and BU management and derive clear, actionable recommendations including risks and conflicting objectives.
  • Be responsible for forecasts, medium-term planning (MTP), cost rate calculations, as well as business cases, scenario analyses and ROI evaluations for investments and assess their impacts.
  • Ensure that reports, dashboards, and analyses are not only accurate but also management-relevant.
  • Continuously develop and optimize existing reporting, forecasting, and planning processes as well as KPI-based performance monitoring within TEC processes.
  • Support the respective production centers in all relevant controlling topics and conduct ad-hoc analyses and valuation of relevant individual decisions.
  • Accompany investment projects from the controlling perspective—from planning in Clarity to project setup and cost monitoring in SAP.
  • Additionally, support the project and portfolio manager in the context of PLC projects.

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on controlling or finance.
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling in an industrial environment.
  • Ideally, you have experience in business or R&D controlling, providing advisory support to executives.
  • Strong knowledge in SAP, especially in the CO, FI, and PS modules.
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, particularly in data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI is advantageous.
  • Fluent communication in German and English.
  • High numerical affinity along with an interest in business relationships and systems.
  • Analytical, structured, and independent working style.
  • Strong communication skills, confident presence at all hierarchical levels, and a committed, solution-oriented working approach.
  • Also, team spirit and willingness to actively develop processes are essential.
