Finance Manager (100% workload)

The municipality of Zwingen is located in the Laufen district and has about 2,850 residents. Conveniently located on the main traffic axis Basel-Délémont and on the SBB line Basel-Délémont, the municipality of Zwingen has grown significantly in recent years. Due to the retirement of the previous incumbent, we are looking for a Finance Manager starting on August 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Main Responsibilities

• Management of financial administration for all accounting areas, including special financing (according to HRM2)
• Handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
• Controlling, reporting, and cash management
• Preparation of VAT reports
• Development of finance-related decision-making bases for the municipal council (includes preparation of annual financial statements, the budget, and the task and financial plan)
• Technical and personnel management of the finance department (one part-time employee)
• Management of insurance tasks (in collaboration with the insurance broker)
• Advising and supporting the authorities.

Your Profile

• Commercial training
• Further training in finance and accounting (e.g., CAS Public Community II, competency for finance specialists, or equivalent training)
• Professional experience in finance and accounting (HRM2) at the municipal level
• Leadership experience in a comparable position, preferably
• Knowledge of the Dialogue specialist applications is an advantage
• Independent, accurate, and efficient working style
• Resilient, flexible, and team-oriented personality.
