Head of Accounting (80 - 100 %)

We are an independent and successful legal protection insurance company based in Aarau with offices in Lausanne and Bellinzona. Together with our colleagues, we handle around 62,000 claims from all areas of law every year.

Our goal is to help our insured clients easily obtain their rights, take responsibility for society, and be a pretty cool employer in many respects.

What to Expect:

You will be the head behind the entire accounting process. From daily accounts payable and receivable, to managing financial assets and leading the general ledger, you will ensure that our financial foundation is flawless.

You will act as our business compass. Through controlling, preparing financial statements, and analyzing key figures, you will uncover the stories behind the data and prepare them for the monthly financial meeting.

You will serve as a strategic navigator. Your contribution to the creation of budgets and forecasts will help us define financial goals and set the course for the future success of our company.

You will be the voice of our finances externally - towards FINMA, the auditor, and tax authorities. At the same time, you will actively shape the future of our finance department as an internal innovator in projects.

You will lead your two-member team and continuously develop it further.

Requirements:

You combine a commercial education elegantly with a higher qualification in business administration or finance. You have already worked successfully for several years in accounting, ideally in the dynamic insurance environment. You have proven that you can improve a team and manage the balance between being a team player and a leader.

You master MS Office, particularly Excel, with ease and apply it effectively. Knowledge of Abacus ideally rounds off your profile.
