Company Overview

Our client is a machine engineering company based in the St. Gallen region. They develop and produce machines primarily used for the manufacture of spring cores for mattresses and upholstered furniture. Their systems are sold worldwide, and the company also offers customized machine solutions for different clients. Innovation and quality are at the heart of their work.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general ledger accounting and processing accounts receivable and payable
• Oversee asset accounting
• Technical and personnel management of two team members in the accounts payable and receivable department, including their representation
• Reconciliation of cash management with the U.S. parent company
• Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Reporting to the parent company in the USA
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the internal control system according to the group's guidelines and applicable legal requirements
• Independent management of holding accounting, including financial statement preparation
• Responsible for VAT returns in Switzerland and abroad
• Preparation of the annual financial statement according to the Code of Obligations, including tax return

Requirements

• Long-standing practice in financial accounting
• Ideally first leadership experience
• Completed further training as a specialist in Financial and Accounting with a federal diploma
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (minimum level B2)
• Enthusiasm for working in an international environment
• Independent, reliable, and precise working style
