Job Description

The ETH Council is the strategic management and supervisory body of the ETH Domain, which includes ETH Zurich and EPFL as well as four research institutions.

In this versatile function, you will primarily take on the following tasks:

• Coordinate and shape the treasury function of the ETH Council, including financial planning, monitoring and reporting on liquidity, as well as operational implementation of fund distribution.
• Coordinate governance topics (ICS) and cross-departmental compliance issues.
• Participate in the introduction of new software solutions and the digitization of financial processes, especially in relation to replacing the existing consolidation and reporting system.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual financial report according to IPSAS, financial and investment planning, and the annual budget report.
• Act as a contact person for the finance professionals of the institutions and the federal administration, as well as for the Federal Financial Control.
• Lead and coordinate financial projects and assist in the cross-departmental introduction of new accounting standards (IPSAS).
• Contribute to the development of decision-making bases and recommendations for the executive committee and the ETH Council.

This and other demanding financial tasks await you in a five-member team. You will work closely with the institutions of the ETH Domain as well as with the federal government as the owner.
