Your mission

Job description

• Patent Advisory and Innovation Mining: Advise on patenting and related matters as well as foster sustainable innovation mining across the organization.
• IP and Inventor Enablement: Enable the management of IP topics by guiding inventors and ensuring readiness for future projects.
• Technology and Product Landscape Monitoring: Monitor Climeworks’ product innovations and the evolving technology landscape.
• Inventor and Expert Interface: Serve as the essential bridge between inventors and innovation protection experts, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration.
• Patent Portfolio and Scientific Analysis: Dive deep into Climeworks’ patent portfolio and relevant scientific literature to provide strong technical insights.
• Core Technology Ownership: Own core technology domains with a focus on patent filing and ongoing maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Refine and streamline Climeworks’ innovation mining and protection approaches.

Your story

Requirements

• Scientific and Technical Foundation: Possess a scientific or engineering background with diverse technical knowledge.
• Patent Qualification and Legal Expertise: Qualified patent attorney (CH, EU and/or US) with solid knowledge of EU and US patent laws.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in patent prosecution and active management of patent portfolios.
• Working Style: Trustworthy, reliable, and skilled at driving projects to completion independently.
• Adaptability and Agility: Adapt swiftly to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to have:

• Patent litigation experience.
• In-house roles in multinational companies.
• Expertise in engineering, chemistry, or both.
• Experience driving cross-functional projects.
• Ability to converse in German.
