For our client, a successful service company based in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for a strategically thinking and leadership-oriented personality as Head of Accounting & Finance. In this demanding role, you actively shape the financial foundation of the group. You combine operational excellence in accounting with a modern understanding of finance and take on a central role at the interface between financial organization, management, and operational units. You create transparency, further develop structures, and ensure that financial information is available where needed for good decision-making.

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for accounting & finance for the group and lead a team of 8 directly subordinate employees.
• From books to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to consolidation, you ensure quality, punctuality, and uniform standards.
• You are responsible for financial reporting and continuously develop reporting structures, accounting policies, and financial standards.
• You oversee the internal control system (ICS) in finance, further develop risk management with relevant departments, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• You manage tax issues, treasury, and liquidity planning, and maintain collaboration with tax advisors, authorities, banks, and other partners.
• You drive the standardization, digitalization, and automation of financial processes and take responsibility for relevant ERP and reporting projects.
• With analyses, key figures, and clear recommendations for action, you support the CFO, management, and department heads in financial and corporate decisions.

Your Profile

• You hold a higher business education and a graduate degree as a federal expert in accounting and controlling, an auditor, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable finance position.
• Solid knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and Swiss tax law; experience with Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP or MS Dynamics.
• Strong leadership and change competencies, along with a pronounced entrepreneurial understanding.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking combined with pragmatic implementation strength.
• Confident appearance, high social competence, and the ability to engage different stakeholder groups at eye level.
• Fluent in German and English; any additional language is a plus.
