Responsibility and Accountabilities
- Perform and report financial operations related to trade finance.
- Communicate and coordinate with banks, managing all trade finance operations, including loan processes.
- Issue Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Letters of Guarantee (LGs), and Tender/Performance Bonds.
- Negotiate preferential terms and conditions with banks.
- Check and review documents negotiated under LCs to ensure compliance.
- Verify bank charges associated with financed transactions.
- Follow up on payments for transactions and ensure all related documentation is accurate and complete.
- Enter required information in the system and update the files regularly
- Ensure compliance with sanctions, anti-money laundering and KTC requirements in trade finance operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in trade finance operations.
- In-depth knowledge of ICC rules (UCP600, URC522, ISBP, URDG758) and familiarity with Incoterms is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
