Execute trade finance operations and manage bank communications.

Responsibility and Accountabilities

  • Perform and report financial operations related to trade finance.
  • Communicate and coordinate with banks, managing all trade finance operations, including loan processes.
  • Issue Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Letters of Guarantee (LGs), and Tender/Performance Bonds.
  • Negotiate preferential terms and conditions with banks.
  • Check and review documents negotiated under LCs to ensure compliance.
  • Verify bank charges associated with financed transactions.
  • Follow up on payments for transactions and ensure all related documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Enter required information in the system and update the files regularly
  • Ensure compliance with sanctions, anti-money laundering and KTC requirements in trade finance operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in trade finance operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICC rules (UCP600, URC522, ISBP, URDG758) and familiarity with Incoterms is a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
