Job Description

You take responsibility for the timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with OR for two legal entities in close coordination with Syntegon Global Business Service Accounting. Furthermore, you are the contact person for auditors, banks, and insurance companies and prepare audits and audit requests and accompany them. You coordinate and participate in the preparation of national and international tax returns and VAT reporting together with external consultants (AT, CA, CH, DE, FI, FR, IN, LU, NO, US, ZA). In addition, you implement corporate guidelines in accounting and compliance topics and coordinate these; you also ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. You plan and coordinate corporate internal controls and carry them out partially yourself (e.g., process and system controls, control evidence). Finally, you work on cross-departmental projects for process optimization and digitalization (e.g., ERP/interface projects, automation of routine activities) and take on independent project tasks as well as ad-hoc analyses.

Qualifications

You have a completed education as a Financial and Accounting Specialist with further training (e.g., fiduciary, certified accounting specialist, HF, federal FA, or equivalent further education). In addition, you bring several years of experience in preparing annual financial statements according to OR as well as in collaborating with Global Business Services or Shared Service Centers. You have experience in coordinating tax and VAT topics as well as in dealing with external tax consultants; knowledge of national and cross-border tax issues is an advantage. Additionally, you present yourself confidently to auditors, banks, and insurance companies and convince with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You have good IT skills (ERP systems, ideally experience with SAP or similar systems) as well as excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel). You work structured, independently, and solution-oriented. Negotiable German language skills and good English language skills round off your profile.
