Position Overview

For our client, a successful service company based in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and leadership-oriented personality as Head of Accounting & Finance. In this demanding role, you will actively shape the financial foundation of the corporate group. You combine operational excellence in accounting with a modern understanding of finance and take on a central role at the interface between the finance organization, management, and operational units. You will create transparency, develop structures further, and ensure that financial information is available where it is needed for good decisions.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for accounting & finance for the group and lead a team of 8 directly reporting staff.
• From main and subsidiary ledgers to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidation, you ensure quality, timeliness, and uniform standards.
• You are responsible for financial reporting and continuously develop reporting structures, accounting policies, and financial standards.
• You oversee the internal control system in the finance area, further develop risk management with relevant departments, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• You handle tax matters, treasury, and liquidity planning, and maintain collaboration with tax advisors, authorities, banks, and other partners.
• You drive the standardization, digitalization, and automation of financial processes and take technical responsibility for relevant ERP and reporting projects.
• With analyses, key figures, and clear recommendations, you support the CFO, management, and operations management in financial and business decisions.

Profile

• You have a higher commercial education and a qualification as a federal certified expert in accounting and controlling, auditor, trust expert, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable finance role.
• Profound knowledge in OR and Swiss tax law; experience with Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge in ERP systems, ideally SAP or MS Dynamics.
• Strong leadership and change management skills along with a pronounced entrepreneurial understanding.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking combined with pragmatic implementation skills.
• Confident appearance, high social competence, and the ability to engage different stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English; any additional language is a plus.
