Head of Finance (80-100%)

The municipality of Bauma has around 5,200 inhabitants and is located in a picturesque and tourist-attractive region in the Oberland, serving as the center of the upper Tößtals. We are searching for a proactive, professionally competent and personally convincing individual to lead the Finance Department of our unified community, starting from October 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your Main Tasks

• Technical, organizational, administrative and personnel management of the Finance Department
• Responsibility for the overall accounting, receivables and payables of the municipality of Bauma and for clients
• Responsibility for VAT statements
• Preparation of the annual financial statements according to HRM2
• Payroll administration and insurance matters
• Preparation of the budget and task and financial planning in collaboration with the management team, taking responsibility for controlling and internal controls
• Consulting the department head, the municipal council, authorities, department heads, and other individuals in the field
• Participation in projects and strategy processes and their implementation

Your Profile

• Commercial apprenticeship EFZ or equivalent
• Further education in the field, e.g. qualified expert in finance and accounting with federal diploma or similar
• Several years of professional experience in a public financial administration or a private financial department
• Very good IT user knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel and accounting programs, ideally Abraxas FIS
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in German
• Economic and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Strong affinity for numbers and joy in the task as well as in contact with people
