Banking Surveillance Officer (m/f/d)

The FINMA is responsible for overseeing the Swiss financial market. It protects creditors, investors, and policyholders, ensuring the proper functioning of financial markets. We offer you a position within the Banking division, where your main tasks will include:

• Proactive, critical, and risk-oriented supervision of a portfolio of banks based on available information (audit reports, FINMA ratings, specific investigations).
• Primary internal and external liaison for supervised institutions.
• Assessment of risk analyses and approval of prudent audit strategies.
• Analysis of risk situations, identification of causes, and implementation of corrective measures.
• Managing relations with boards of directors, management, and foreign supervisory authorities.
• Close collaboration with FINMA's internal units and participation in on-site inspections.

Required Profile

• Degree from a higher education institution in economics or equivalent training in the banking field (chartered accountant, CPA, ACCA).
• At least five years of professional experience in the banking sector or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of banking law, financial markets, and products.
• Excellent analytical skills and methodical approach.
• Very good communication skills and collaborative spirit.
• Proficiency in French C2 and German B2.
