Department Head of Finance and Member of the Management Board

Start immediately or by agreement.

Exciting tasks await you:

  • You will be responsible for the Finance Department, including the areas of debt collection, accounting, and tax collection.
  • Organize the entire accounting for the municipal and local residents' community (including controlling and reporting).
  • Prepare the budget, task and financial plan, and annual accounts, and manage cash flow.
  • Ensure the entire payroll process.
  • Advise the municipal council and finance commission on financial matters.
  • Manage the insurance portfolio in collaboration with a broker.

As a member of the management board, you will significantly contribute to steering and shaping the operational affairs of the municipality of Wettingen.

What you need:

  • Higher education in the finance field (CAS in Public Community Financial Specialists, qualification in financial and accounting management with a federal diploma, or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in public finance.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative, municipal, and financial budgeting law.
  • Be a decisive leader willing to take responsibility.
  • Have a keen insight into political processes and workflows.
  • Be an open, approachable person with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate independent and precise work with good analytical abilities.
  • Show team-oriented and solution-driven behavior.
