Deputy Head of Department Finance (80 - 100%)

The municipality of Bauma, with around 5,200 inhabitants, is located in a region that is both scenic and touristically attractive in the Upper Land and is the center of the upper Töss valley. For the Finance Department of our unified municipality, we are looking for an initiative, knowledgeable, and convincing personality to start on October 1, 2026, or by arrangement, as Deputy Head of Department Finance.

Your main tasks

• Lead the general ledger
• Manage client bookkeeping
• Responsible for maintaining subsidiary ledgers (payroll)
• Prepare VAT declarations
• Assist in budgeting and annual closing of the municipality of Bauma and for clients
• Support and be the point of contact for internal and external customers
• Substitute for department management
• Substitute for financial administration
• Substitute for invoice billing
• Substitute for HR-Administration

Your profile

• Commercial education equivalent to EFZ
• Further training in the field for accounting clerks or in training as a specialist in financial and accounting with federal diploma or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in public financial administration or in a private finance department
• Very good IT user skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and accounting programs, ideally Abraxas FIS
• Independent, efficient, and accurate way of working
• Strong affinity for numbers and enjoy the work as well as interaction with people
