Community Widen is forward-looking - livable, committed, and future-oriented.
The community of Widen, with around 4,000 inhabitants, is characterized by a high quality of life, a solid financial basis, and an attractive working environment. About 20 employees are engaged in the municipal administration, many of whom have been loyal to the community for years.
The Finance Department is responsible for the entire accounting of the resident and local citizen community of Widen, as well as the three municipal associations of the Kreisschule Mutschellen, Sportzentrum Burkertsmatt, and Zentrumsbibliothek Mutschellen. In addition to diverse and challenging tasks, you will be expected to work in a collegial team with short decision-making processes and an open working culture.
We are looking for a committed and motivated individual to strengthen our finance department as soon as possible or by agreement as:

Deputy Head of Finance Department (80-100%)

What to expect from us

  • Support and substitute the head of finance
  • Management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Management of the general ledger and processing of payments
  • Independent management of payroll accounting with Abacus (opening of employees, health insurance registrations and payroll)
  • Assistance with the annual financial statement and budget preparation
  • Responsible for tax collection
  • Management of mandates for the Sportzentrum Burkertsmatt and Zentrumsbibliothek Mutschellen
  • Counter and telephone service
  • Responsible for the training and supervision of learners of the community of Widen (trainer)
  • Assumption of further tasks depending on interest/aptitude

Your qualifications

For this responsible and demanding position, you have:

  • Several years of professional experience in the financial sector of a municipality
  • The CAS certificate in public administration Level II - Financial professionals Aargau or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting according to HRM2
  • Good IT user skills (Innosolv/Abacus is an advantage)
  • An analytical mind coupled with high communication skills and pronounced social competence
  • An independent and reliable working style
