As Deputy Head of the Directorate's Staff Unit for Health Protection, with a specialization in finance and acquisitions, you will:

• Represent the head of the staff unit for technical, organizational, strategic and personnel-related issues.
• Assume, alongside the head of the staff unit, planning and steering tasks of the directorate and co-manage financial controlling.
• Coordinate parliamentary affairs, supervise their content, deadlines and progress, and regularly inform the head of the directorate.
• Ensure the management of acquisitions and contracts, ensuring economic flow and compliance with the law of acquisitions and grants, advise contract managers on public procurement law.
• Support and relieve the management team of the directorate in tasks relevant to business economics and collaborate on cross-sectional tasks and files of the staff unit.

What makes you unique

• Degree from a specialized university or higher education institution, preferably in business administration or related discipline; ideally, knowledge of public procurement and experience in this area.
• Excellent analytical and systemic reasoning skills with a focus on business economics.
• Strong interest in political processes and health policy topics; ideally experience in dealing with political or parliamentary affairs.
• Strong sense of responsibilities, high commitment and spirit of cooperation; ability to work autonomously and in a structured manner.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel; ideally knowledge of SAP software; active knowledge of two official languages and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third.
