TOPADUR Pharma AG, based in Schlieren ZH, is a patient-oriented biotech company in the clinical phase dedicated to developing breakthrough therapies for age-related diseases. We are looking for an independent and committed Financial Accountant & Controller (60 – 80 %) to strengthen our team in Schlieren with room for influence and responsibility.

Your Role

In this versatile position, you will be responsible for the entire operational accounting, ensuring a precise data basis, preparing budgets, and conducting variance analyses.

Your Tasks

• Independent Accounting: Carry out financial and accounts payable accounting including payment transactions and ensure correct and timely booking.
• Closing Security: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (according to OR or in the future according to IFRS) and act as the main contact for the auditing firm.
• Personnel Administration: Prepare monthly payroll runs and manage social securities and withholding taxes ensuring a smooth process.
• Reporting & Controlling: Prepare periodic reports and analyses, support cost center managers, actively shape the budgeting process, and create liquidity planning, forecasts, and monthly comparisons for management.
• Compliance & Grants: Assist in the administrative billing of funding (e.g., Innosuisse/EU grants) and ensure VAT compliance. You will also be responsible for tax and duty declarations (VAT, StE, stock issuance).
• Process Optimization: Actively contribute to process optimization and finance-related projects.

Your Profile

• Education: Qualified in finance and accounting, degree with a focus on accounting or a comparable qualification.
• Experience: Several years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a startup, small company, or in the life science environment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Value exchange in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with others in a team.
• Software Skills: Proficient in accounting software (Abacus) and very good Excel skills.
• Personality: Extremely structured, reliable, independent, and take responsibility willingly.
• Languages: Fluent in German and good knowledge of English.
